Dörthe took her first wave in the service of science, as presenter of the daily ARTE science show Xenius, and it was love at first ride.

Her search for the few women in the surf resulted in the multiple award-winning ARTE documentary series "Chicks On Boards", followed by her PENGUIN top title book "The Next Wave Is Yours". The Berlin based director, actress and host has a license to teach yoga and surfing and a passion for travelling. After being invited to a traditional Herero wedding, she found her love for the nature, wildlife and culture of Namibia.

If sitting in empty lineups with the world’s oldest desert as your backdrop sounds good to you, look no further! Namibia is about as unique as it gets.

Our ISA qualified surf instructors have the local knowledge and experience to keep you safe and get you into the best waves in Namibia. No crowds means less hassle in the water and more waves for you to enjoy and improve on! We pride ourselves on creating fun and inclusive surf sessions. Whether you prefer softer longboarding waves, or fast and punchy reef breaks, we’ve got you covered. Video analysis sessions will help you reach your surfing goals.

Please note each of our retreats are tailor-made for a specific surf level. Expect to surf 2 hours per session.

SAFARI

Spend two unforgettable nights in Etosha National Park, where you'll embark on safari drives to spot majestic wildlife. As night falls, enjoy guided visits to the park's watering holes, witnessing the magic of endemic animals in their natural habitat. Then, as an optional add-on, which we definitely recommend, venture to the iconic Sossusvlei, where you'll hike the breathtaking dunes and explore the surreal landscape of Deadvlei, famous for its ancient, dead trees against a backdrop of ancient red sand dunes.

This safari experience is the perfect complement to your surfing adventure, offering a deep connection to Namibia’s stunning nature.
